Property Information Form

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

I just got back from a quick chat with Mr P about the Property Information Form. There were a couple of things that we had some questions about so I thought it would be quicker and easier just to ask him directly rather than faff around with solicitors etc. Fortunately there are no problems, just a little clarification required and a couple of other minor matters that can be easily resolved. I think Mr P is realising we are going to be quite thorough in our affairs, but he seems to be fine with that which is great – just as well!

Satellite Broadband

OK, so it’s been 5 weeks since our offer was accepted on Waterloo Farm and we are still making progress, albeit slightly slower than anticipated!! Today we received various documents from our solicitor that we need to check through such as the Fixtures & Fittings list and the Property Information Form. Some of the stuff on the PIF doesn’t make total sense, so either we don’t understand them properly or they’ve been filled in incorrectly! For example, in the section about whether or not there are extensions to the property, Mr P has put ‘no’, when there are, in total, 4 different extensions! Clearly things like this will need to be clarified and I think Nigel intends to go and speak to Mr P next week to try and iron some of the stuff out! (more…)

Kids Visit Waterloo Farm for the First Time!

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

Despite our vow (after previous disappointments) that we would never let the kids visit another potential new house until after we had exchanged, we have stepped out in faith today as we took them on their first visit to Waterloo Farm. We were both very nervous as we drove them to their ’surprise’! (more…)
