Firstly, I took my alarm clock which has a built-in thermometer and it never got above 15 degrees C (down to 14 at one point!) and that was inside with the fire lit so just goes to show it was pretty cold (and how inefficient open fires are!!). However, I did enjoy our little camp-out depsite the lack of curtains, having to sleep fully clothed, and absolutely stinking of smoke! I'm glad we did it because we won't get another chance because next year there will be full-functioning underfloor heating in that room ...
