Just wanted to recognise the fantastic efforts of my Father-in-Law Rick in helping clear the stable roof of all the growth and patching it up! It was a busy day, but we did get from covered to cleared.
As you can see, the weather changed quite dramatically through the day, and it does look a little forlorn now.
What is really good is that now at least it is water tight, and it means that it will slow down the process of falling apart. This will buy us some more time to decide whether to renovate it or pull it down.
We discovered that the left side roof was actually in worse state than the obvious missing tiles on the right, and we have a temporary fix in place until we can get hold of some more tiles etc.
I even managed to get up on the roof and as I am not one for heights I was quite chuffed, though you can see me holding on tightly!
