There seems to be plenty of them, and they are officially ours now … what am I talking about? The keys to Waterloo Farm of course
. We left our holiday at around 8.20am and drove straight back to The Farm (as it shall be known until it is officially ‘home’!!) arriving around lunch time. Mr P was meeting some insurance guy in ‘our kitchen’ and had some towels in the tumble dryer, so I think he was a little embarrassed, but we didn’t mind!
The house is totally empty now, and I haven’t been there since all the furniture was removed, so it was interesting to see it looking pretty stark and barren. We went through all the keys with Mr P (will need to get lots of key rings as there are so many external doors!), and had a quick nose around, but the plan is to go back again later today when Mr P isn’t there and have a proper look at our new home! It still feels really strange to think of it as belonging to us! I guess we’ve waited such a long time that I’m still pinching myself. It’s so exciting and overwhelming all at the same time. My stomach flips at the thought of all the work ahead of us but I guess we’ve got the rest of our lives to get it done, although I’ll be pretty cross if I’m waiting 20 years for a new kitchen
.
So, now it starts, the dream becomes reality, we can take our lives off hold and really start to ‘live the dream’ at last.
