It was great this weekend to show our first visitors round our new home and also a surprise to see changes to the driveway! My Mum and Tam’s parents viewed the house, and I couldn’t help but wonder what my late Dad would have said…we were also a bit surprised to discover the front part of the drive ‘under construction’ by a load of heavy plant.
We were left with a temporary access platform after the workmen gave up due to the dreadful weather. Apparently they will be back next weekend to progress the brick weave that will span the entrance to The Farm and the new barn.
My Mum was thrilled with The Farm and very excited about it. In fact I think she is almost as excited as we are.
Tammy’s parents I think were equally pleased for us, though maybe a little daunted by the amount of work and time it would require us to update and maintain. But they agreed we have a lifetime in which to do so and there really is no rush.
Now we need to start organising architects and trades to come in and quote on the work that is required to be done before we can actually move in!
