I have some good news and some bad news! Good news, the phone line has been activated and Broadband has been ordered. The bad news, the line has got DACS on it and the provision of Broadband will be delayed, and may yet still not be available at all.
I have been advised by my ISP that the DACS removal can take days, weeks or even months!! We cannot afford to wait weeks or months. I am doubly frustrated as I specifically asked for a phone line to be installed that did not have DACS. I have to wait until next Tuesday (29th) before I can phone back for a progress update.
Fortunately, the Broadband ‘issue’ is still not holding up the purchase process as we are still waiting for the contract and other related paper work to appear from our solicitor. I guess that’s more good news … ish …
